Hot hot hot.. Lemaih la panaih..

I'm not sure whether its because of my sunburn or is it really hot in KL right now.. Like I already had 4 showers for the past 3 hours.

Feel like wearing this to cool off:

My new craze:

Sunway Lagoon + Penang = Nasty Sunburn

"Whoaaa so dark!"

That was CT's reaction when she first saw me at the office.

Yup, I got the nastiest sunburn from the outings 4 days in a row.

Started from Saturday in Sunway lagoon, we had fun from 12 till 4 on the water park, mostly, because the other guy didnt have th gut to go for the extreme ride. sheshhh..

Anyway, bumped into Eme there. She was there since 10 am! and i found out later that the went back at 6p.m. Holy mackerel.

Then came sunday, we went to the wedding. Again, under the baking sun.

Sunday nite, off to Penang. Went to Bt Feringghi and City center. I though I was local so, the sun wouldn't give any effect on me. Therefore, I didnt put any sunblock and happily basking under the direct sun.

Came Monday nite, my whole body was red like a prawn. How stupid I was!

Somewhat like this... since my phone camera cant take decent picture, i have to google some similar looking pic. hi hi.

and its kinda hurt when i tried to press those affected areas. Like burning sensation esp on the shoulder, neck and cheek areas.

So now my skin has been malay-lised, and I'm drained mentally and physically.

Finally, A Gift That Wasnt Made in China

A couple of weeks ago kecet.com hosted a Frugal Festival where readers were encouraged to submit their experience with frugality. (Ironically, the reward was anything but frugal).

Nonetheless, I just sent him my tips. And these were excerpt from kecet.com (without owner approval):

famil said...
1) I rather walk 1km to find the nearest Maybank ATM than paying RM1 MEPS charge.

2) I would look for the RapidKL bus ticket on the floor or even on the trash bin so that I could save up to RM2. One ticket could be used for the whole day. Sometimes people just throw them away after one trip *stewpid*

3) I keep my savings at the Bank Simpanan Nasional so that I wont have to pay tax - it's the government bank (Dikecualikan oleh cukai).

4) Only shop for specific groceries on specific day at Isetan.
Monday - Fish
Tuesday - Fruits
Wednesday - Vegetables
Thursday - Meat
Because members get 10% dicount..

And what do you know, I got second places! And Srikanth asked me wether I would like the 1G thumbdrive or the 2G one! Einstein, like yeah Im gonna take the 1G one :p

So, on July 15, the thumbdrive was posted. Either for tax evasion or for thief prevention, he declared the value as $3. I would like to think the latter because its an open secret that the Malaysian Custom/postman would pocket in anything they deem valuable.

And today, while gossiping with CT at work, my reward arrived.

Woo hoo.. I was elated. Immidiately I reformat the thumbrive to NTFS filesytem (from FAT).

I'm as excited as this fat kid who had just bought harmonica from toys r us and had to use it rightaway.

(i were about to give him RM1, but his mother was there.. encouraging him.. hi hik)

TQ Srikanth! Do visit him at kecet.com. He is hosting another contest.

P/s: My joy was shortlived though. The internal component is made in CHINA.

And they work in IT

I've seen a lot of cubicles with the names tags scribble in pen like this:

The regular name tag should look like this:

When I asked one of them why, the answer was "Oh, wating for the FM* dept to print out my name"

I was like, omigod... and just walked away.

Dont they know its just a black background with white font? Print it themselves la. Its not that hard. Open MS Word or Excel. Set bgcolor=black ; fgcolor=white, write your name in big font (Arial) then print it.. voila!

These people works in IT dept ooo...

Just when it thought that was iditic enough, along came this...

and the permanent red ink was marked on top of the plastic cover. Hmmm.....

Eye Dee Ten T. Classic...

Leaping off the building

Similar to the entry in Bella's blog , this is is also about suicide because of broken hearted.

Stewpid....

I am open minded, but not for person who committed suicide because of broken hearted...

Like there's so much thing in life than taking away your life because of stupid thing.

Warning!!!!!!!!
Gory: Not for the faint heart (like along)

My Reply:

Dear xxx,

Beauty is subjective. Plus we need to reflect the pic with the reality... :p

Anyway, the others have voted against putting any picture. Therefore, no 'cosmetically challenged' pictures will be posted.

She thought it was a wet dream

This article is from The Star Online (http://thestar.com.my)
-------------------------------------

IPOH: A High Court judge here is puzzled over why the police commenced a rape investigation when the victim, a religious teacher, did not complain of sexual assault.

The question arose Monday when the appeal of 23-year-old Azrul Faimi Othman against his sentence and conviction appeared before Justice V. T. Singham.

Azrul Faimi, who was found guilty by a lower court, was sentenced to a 12-year jail term and three strokes of the rotan for raping the teacher at her hostel room in Sekolah Agama Ma’ahad Al Aziz in Parit, on March 24, 2003, between 3.30am and 4.30am.

"I have studied his appeal records and from there, I saw that in the schoolteacher’s first police report lodged after the incident, she never said she had been raped.

"She only said that she had been robbed and physically attacked but not sexually,” said Justice Singham.

He added that according to the report, the schoolteacher, who was 26 at the time, had then been sent to the Changkat Melintang hospital for a medical examination.

"Why was she referred to the hospital to have her private parts examined in a case that did not involve rape?” questioned Justice Singham.

He added that it was even more troubling that the schoolteacher had only found out she had been raped after the doctor had told her so.

"Even then, she only lodged a police report that she had been raped nine days after she went to the doctor.

"This is a teacher and an adult. Surely she would have known if she had been raped.

"Even so, a third party was the one telling her she was raped. This is a strange situation, isn’t it?” he asked.

Justice Singham then asked Deputy Public Prosecutor Siti Fatimah Talib if a rape case could be built merely on DNA evidence since the other evidence were “all negative”.

According to the chemistry report, blood and seminal stains were found on the victim’s sarong and bed sheet whilst none were found on the swab sample taken from her private part.

Justice Singham fixed Aug 25 to re-mention the appeal to allow the DPP time to clarify the discrepancies to the court.

Defence counsel Meor Sha’azizi Meor Sha’ari told the court he would make a representation to the Attorney-General’s Chambers to change the rape charge under Section 376 to molest under Section 354 of the Penal Code.

Another Rude Malaysian

I was at the Forex counter almost done with my transaction (waiting for the receipt)

Suddenly got this obnoxious kanina cut into my line and mind her own business, changing $200 SING DOLLAR! What a nerve.. But I just walk away, knowing that it's just a waste of time arguing with rude malaysian.

Then I saw her again at the monorail station. Luckily this time she knows how to queue up, otherwise I would already push her down like this:

More About Natuna and Anambas

The red lines are current Malaysian maritime boundary.

The Natuna and Anambas islands belong to the Riau province. Historically, the Riau islands were part of the Johor-Riau kingdoms until the British and Dutch came.

The Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1824 consolidated this separates these island islands into two. The British controlling all territories north of the Singapore strait and the Dutch controlling territories from Riau to Java.

After Malaya gained her independent, these islands (Natuna and Anambas) were not claimed by any country.

However, with the formation of Sijori (Singpura-Johor-Riau) growth triangle, the Riau province took responsibilities for the islands' administrations.

And in 2003, central Indonesian government played an actives roles in developing the oil exploration and production, thus cemented the "claim" that these islands belong to them.

Therefore in a future, any ferry services from Peninsular to Sarawak plying the straight route will be considered as trespassing.

Another Ingenious Way to make The Road Jammer

Points to ponder:
1
Why cant for every summon they issue, the police will get 5-10% disburse monthly. That way we could at least curb the bribe what and help the economy of the policemen. Current summons collections also were being wasted, it wont really affect the gov coffer.

2
How come this oil rich natuna island belongs to Indonesia?

The Minory Report

Could you spot the minority in this uber blurry pic?

Masak Lomak Nongori

1 stalk lemongrass
200ml coconut milk
500gm clams
Asam Gelugor (Tamarind skin)
Turmeric leaf (optional)

Blended
6 shallots
2 Green Chillies (I used red, DONT! Will make your graver orange-y)
12 bird eyes chillies (more if your from N9 or Malacca)
1 cm turmeric

Sautee the blended items for 1 minute

Add in coconut milk. Put the lemongrass. Shred the turmeric leaf. Not to forget the salt. Bring this concoction to boil.

Add in the clam and asam gelugor. The clams are cooked when the valves are open.

Enjoy your clam with rice or bread

Und der winner ist........

1st Place button 'design'.

I AM NOT KIDDING....

The judge loved that 'correct*3' tagline. He thought it was uber funny and catchy and a genius.

To add the salt, the organiser asked for my favor to make the button rounder, and make the font bigger. 'Your designing skills are admirable, but not good enough to win'.

The only reason I agree to that is because thats the only way for me to 'get' the softcopy of the design. On which, I could then post on this blog for others to judge (and make fun with).

After the modification:

It became crystal clear when I saw the 5th place winner's design. Try as I might, but I just cant coax the organiser to send me the softcopy of that :p But imagine something plain (no picture) with black and blue background with red font (think fab detergent box).

It dawned to me that I would never win fairly. Power of connection - Welcome to the world of hypocrisy..

No wonder my annual ranking sucks..

Red House No More

Gone for another luxury condo project.

Well, not that the food was good anyway. I was once found cockroach wing on my plate (CY insisted it was an onion's skin). And I stopped patronising the place since (that was in 2005).

The Most Stressful Courses Ever

Being out of the office used to mean a break/honeymoon. But not for these 2 days. I am away for a course, and it is a presentation course. Gosh, how much I hate public speaking.

Tomorrow (today) is the D-Day. Everyone had to make a presentation and I haven't prepare a thing. Luckily the topic I choose is something I'm good at.. Banking System.

To make the matter worse, your presentation is recorded and would be scrutinized later.

On my way back, bumped into this rude malaysian.

The train was packed, and this bitch didnt want to gave her 'seat' away to the old auntie. And she wasnt sitting either. Maybe she's a whore you just had her ass fucked. Therefore cant seat properly.

What I had for dinner....

salad

and the most yummylicious corn.

Moderate Merdeka ‘do’ this year

KUALA LUMPUR: The 51st Merdeka month celebrations will be held on a moderate scale but with an air of pomp and splendour, said National Unity and Integration Department director-general Datuk Azman Amin Hassan.

He said although the independence month’s organising committee had asked for RM80mil for the nationwide celebrations, the Government approved only RM20mil.

“Despite the sluggish economy, we will make sure that the whole country especially Kuala Lumpur will be decorated with lights and national flags,” he said.

Azman, who represented Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry secretary-general Dr Muzahet Masruri, briefed 150 building owners in the capital yesterday on the national flag-flying and building beautification campaign.

Tenaga Nasional Bhd general manager Kamaliah Abdul Kadir said the company was offering incentives to building owners to light up their premises.

Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Ab Hakim Borhan asked building owners to light up their premises from 7pm to midnight as well as fly the national flag. – Bernama
