Removing Rust from the toilet bowl: Finally

Have you had mother of all rust stains on your toilet bowl and refused to go away. To make things worse, the affected bowl is in the guest's restroom.

--(iron out my ass, wasted money only)

For years I had to suffer embarrassment and believe me, since I moved in (or more like since my house-mate moved out), I've been trying EVERYTHING to remove these stains, be it over the counter cheapo stuff like clorox (which make things worst) to the most expensive stuff you get on the specialty shop (ACE Hardware that is :p).

Whenever shopping, I would desperately buy (and try) any product that I run across that claims to remove hard water rust stains -- usually with no success and wasted money.

So today, the same drill took place. WEnt to ACE hardware and found this stuff called LYSOL - Power. At the end of my mind I was thinking, yeah like this RM15.90 stuff gonna work when the RM99.00 stuff doesnt...

I tried it anyway. I squeezed it under the rim all around the bowl, letting it flow into the bowl-- then left to let it sit for a while (30 minutes)while I was watching the Exorcism of Emily Rose, which was another mistake....

During the commercial, I returned to the restroom, half expecting to start the usual pointless scrubbing routine again, and jibberdy dibberdy, I couldn't believe my eyes -- the rust stains were gone! I now have a white, spotless toilet bowl.

Omigod, Lysol does work! 2 years stains were gone in minutes. Now I got a new BFF (right after Jif/Cif) for miracle household DIY kit.

Electronic Device detector

Imagine this scenario:

You just got back from the office and it just hit you: It's the 5th of the month and you're already 2 mths behind your Maxis bills. There's only rm20 in your wallet and your kids already hungry at home.

So, you hurriedly went to KLCC, park your car right in front of the escalator, were about to leave.. but remembered, you had a laptop in your back seat. Nevermind, you thought.. "I will put it in my trunk (bonnet)", against company policy, you did just that.

Went up, to the Maybank, make a withdrawal, went to Maxis.. on the way back you decided to take some food home, so the obvious choice was the KFC.

After like eternity behind an indecisive woman, where she cant decide whether to order Fish burger (yeah in KFC) or just the salad.. and on top of that she couldn't find her purse on her huge LV's tote (which is obviously fake), and after she found it, on which she actually left on her Vinci shopping bag, she dont have the small change.

And just when your were inch away from losing your sanity, the unexpected saviour comes in a form of Betty, the most efficient cashier at the KFC in Kuala Lumpur. FINALLY, you managed to get your takeaways.

Paid the parking.. and left.. Get home just before Maghrib (dusk), seeing your kids jumping in joy, melts away a day hard works.

At night, when the things settle ie. the kids are watching tom tom bak (a show for the brainless, morally decadence children), you decided to log on into your lotus notes...

Went to your car and open the bonnet, feel around looking for your laptop. nothing.. Switched on the porch light, and looked inside your empty trunk... your heart sink! Maybe you left it on the back seat... Na da!

Scream for your poor maid, hitting her with the fire hose so that she could admit she took your laptop.. hi hi hi.. im going to far here..

okay, so you got the point..

there's no sign of break ins, but you still loose your laptop, how is it possible???????

Well, its because the thief has the ED detector.

These devices are not expensive, it costs less than RM50 for the thieves to start the "business". Easily available in eBay, lelong.com or at the low yatt plaza.

Even if you take out the laptop's battery, this device could still detect it because there's an internal batteries for the clock in your laptop.

And yeah, this device could also detect your Touch N Go smart card..

So yeah, moral of the story, just take the laptop wherever you go.. its easy to sue the company for ergonomic problems than to justify 8010 losses**, on which you might loose your job..

**PS: 8010 losses is our company reporting system for asset losses.

My Shop Takde Dalam List Daaa..

Dicovered a very good website for us. Well, for you guys actually.. since Isetan and Mercato are not listed (Arimi mesti suker JJ wangsa maju ada dalam list). :p

http://www.smartpengguna.my/

This is the website, updated daily at 11:00AM that displays (compares) daily prices directly from supermarkets & hypermarkets!

Currently only Giant, JayaJusco, Carrefour, Tesco and Mydin's data are available. Just drop and choose which items to compare with which hypermaarkt.

Prices shown are for the Controlled Goods only (Barangan Terkawal sahaja).

Let do some comparison between JJ and Carrefour Wangsamaju for today, Tuesday, March 24th 2009.

Clearly CF is cheaper than JJ. But something fishy about the bawal price (pomfret, misspelled as pompret thee hee hee)...

With this tool, you could always plan ahead before you shop. Let say you need to buy 20 items, and 5 items are cheap in Tesco, another 12 are in Carrefour and the remaining 3 in JJ, then you could make 3 trips to 3 diff places. Provided that the differences could cover the parking/gasoline/effort/time.

Or if a Hypermaark is using the false advertisement, you could always verify them. Like example below:

The Tesco's "guaranteed lowest price" is/was clearly wrong. Saman karang!

So, apa lagi, silalah guna.. Asyik complain gomen this gomen that jer..

Rip Off Republic

I've been perpetually being ripped off by the Maybebank

The latest:
Being charged RM2.25 for withdrawing money over the counter.

Breakdown of charges:
RM1.75 for withdrawal more than 2K (got percentage, the more you withdraw, the higher you have to pay)
RM0.50 because my account is in Georgetown. IBT = interbranch transaction.

Month/Yearly rip off that I have to put up with:
1. RM0.50 for every transaction (free 4 transaction per month).
Beat the system by withdrawing in bulk and deposit into different bank which doesnt charge you for withdrawing your OWN money.

2. RM1.00 for every MEPS transactions.
On top of that 50cent. Being cheap, I would rather walk 1 km to save RM1.

3. RM2.00 for every MEPS-IBG transactions.
What you have to pay for being lazy bum. Using maybank2u to send money.

4. RM1.00 for Standing Instruction / Debit Advice
Again for being lazy bum for not making a monthly trip to the creditor.

5. RM8.00 annually for 'maintaining' the Bankcard.
Do you know the cost of producing a card was only RM24 (2002 figure, I bet now is lower). By 4th year, they bank usually break even. But still charge RM8 yearly. Untung buta..

What I dont get it is that Savings / Checking Account is a liability for the bank. WHy on earth it has priority banking then? The guy with RM1 million in savings is a bigger liablity than me what... Why treats them like VIP?

Tu belum kira lagi cacian dan hinaan yg dilemparkan oleh perempuan perampuan melayu meroyan kat kaunter tuh, jika TT duit ke obersea amaunnya less than RM2000.

Dont let me get started on how they treat an asset (e.g. late payee credit card holder). Make Ah long looks like mahatma gandhi in comparison. I dont have a credit card, nor housing loan, nor Hire Purchase.. Obviously not an asset...

No wonder got hefty net profit of RM3.25 bil last year.

What would they think of next?

Make it (physically) impossible to withdraw obviously....

How To Get Rid That Stain (From Grapes)

Have it occured to you guys that no matter how many gallon you washed your grapase, whitish-spore like stain still appear?

Well, fret no more, here's the better and cheaper solution.

All you need are these:

The grapes (like duh), toothpaste, clean towel

First, Cut the grapes from their 'stems?'. Soak them into water.

Next, squeeze some toothpaste into the grapes. No need fancy toothpaste like mine, ubat gigi Jeton(Zaitun) juga boleh. :p

Then Rinse the grapes and wash them with flowing water.

Pour them into the CLEAN towel and pat lightly.

Voila.. it's squeaky clean now...
You can now enjoy your mint-flavored grapes :p

Why the Wedding Ring Should Be Put On That Particular Finger

Try these:

1. First, spread your palm and arrange your finger like this (middle finger needs to be tucked in)

4.2. Try to seperate you thumb, you would be able to do so. Return to the original position as above.

5.3. Repeat on other fingers (non ring finger)

7.4. Now try your ring finger. You wont be abled to do so. That's the significance. Real love would/should stick together, forever.

Ladies, Beware Of These Lunch Predators

Got this email from my friend, scary....

==============================
From: s***@sbb.com.my
Subject: ( Attachment was scanned and no virus found )

Ladies, please beware this happened to me recently...

The strangest thing happened to me at lunch yesterday. I was sitting at a café at the Waterfront having a coffee with my friend and two men came and sat down at our table .....

We gave them the death stare, but they just casually stayed at our table and wouldn't leave us alone. It ruined our whole bloody lunch...

I slowly placed a ring on my married finger, then placed my hand on the table and we hinted to them that we were both married, and that we were not interested in them.

Luckily, they got the hint and left, but thankfully the whole thing was captured on the Cafe camera. I'm sending you this picture as a warning just in case they try and pick you up. --> The PREDATORS: Beware!!

How Not To Get a Parking Ticket

Urgently need a parking space to park (and free one)? But the only available spaces are the No Parking areas?

To make thing worse, those DBKL officers are nearby to issue tickets (so that the dept could afford more RVs like this). And do not wish to contribute to the cityhall's already-bloated-coffer?

Worry not, follow these simple steps:

1. Find your spot.
2. Park it.
3. Look out for other cars (whether they got tickets or not)

4. Go the the nearest car.
5. Grab it's ticket.
6. Put it on your windshield.
7. DBKL would thought you already got the ticket, and will reissue to the other car instead.
8. Voila, you got away scott free :p

9. Abort the mission if the other car's owner is within vicinity (and has a mean looking scorpion tattoo on his knuckles).
