Okay after the first trip I was kinda like the idea of company trip. The thing that made it extra fun was 70% of us were below 40. Therefore you wont feel a drag like rombongan Che Kiah. So when the ERC offered another trip, I quickly grab the opportunity.
The trip catered more to divers but there's also a slot for non-divers.

Departed at 11.15pm fromt he office. About 34 people.. 10 hrs journey with 3 stops. Urghhhh... We made a breakfast stop at this one yummy nasi kerabu stall. Then we headed towards the Kuala Terengganu jetty (Syahbandar).
I have confession. This was my first time in Terengganu. Now, the only state that ive never been is Kelantan! Well, i always go to Kg Baru, so theoretically I've been to Kelantan. hi hik.
The ferry is at 9 am. KT is a quaint
town city.
The boat took abt 1.5 hr to reach Redang Island. It RM55 one way (which I dont have to pay). I paid RM200 for 3 days 2 night accomodations - transport - food.
There's no jetty at this side of the beach though. Therfore, we have to transfer to the smaller ferry!
Well, hello there beautiful island! After 12 hrs phew! The journey was so worth it!
Fromt he boat to the ferry, so we get down the beach without getting wet.
The cheaper alternatives. RM30 with slower boat (3 hr to reach the island) and no transfer. That means you have to jump to get to the shore. Reminded me of the Indonesian illegal immigrant getting on to the Malaysian shore.
The island garbage disposal systems. All the rubbish have to be manually collected and transferred to the main island. Painful but necessary.

White powdered sandy beach. So smooth... After check in the room, I took a nap before the lunch. After the lunch the divers crowd left for the first dive.

As for me? Took out my novel, sunscreen SPF130, iPod

Headed towards the beach, and rest on the hammock.. I dont mind dozing on the beach as long as it doesnt have the sea smell (like in Penang, PD).
Seriously that was all I did, with a tea break in between.. There were 2 snorkeling activities for non divers, but I didnt join.
We had a barbeque that night, and after 5 minutes barbequing, it was pouring rain! The wettest i've ever experiences.

Okay by now i started to feel weird. See, we're in an island with hundreds of fish species. But the menu were mainly chicken and one type of fish (cencaru - torpedo scad , they were fresh and delicous though). I hardly saw any chicken on the island.. but i saw lots of monitor lizards.. hmmmm
The same menu for the rest of my stay. But I want crabs and pomfret and prawns!!!! Who eat chicken (i think it is) and beef on an island? hihihihihi
THe food was abundant and delicious. Kudos to the cook!

During dinner they asked me what I did, so I told them enthusiasticly that I was lazing around the whole day, reading books. And then pin drop.. (not really, the raindrops on the tin roof were enough to make you deaf).. is as if I told them a horror story. Hmmmm

So the next day after breakfast, the committee gave me a life jacket, a snorkler set and a pity face. "Sorry you had a such a horrible time, try snorkelling, you might like it"
I was like what???? no no no, i was having a great time doing nothing. I enjoyed it, you see!
Unconvinced, the push me towards the boat and asked me to join them to the Marine Park... grrrrr, okay snorkelling it is.

So we left, on the boat, for the 20 minutes ride to the Marine Park on the other side of the island.

There's more than 12 people on the boat, so they called in another boat..

But that boat has engine problem in the beginning.

Then it was okay already.. My so-not-enthusiast-for-snorkelling-trip-just-woke-up face

We sped away on the deep blue ocean.

Arrived at the jetty.

Already have several snorkellers around..

And another batches of boats coming.. u uh... so many gah? One of the guys said few years back, the beach was better. Now the corals are dying and less fish are available..
dang.. and im contributing to the further destructions of the ecosystem...

not as bad as this guy though.. he was wearing a freaking flippers and stepped into the corals. and gf is even worst! she just threw the bread plastic into the ocean.. choking the fish.. singaporean!

Hello fishy.. wait, why do we feed breads to them? Naturally, breads (or any grains) are not on their diet.. its like feeding your cat fish! You wont find your cat catching fish in the wild dont you?

The okay, the current-is-so-freaking-strong-and-i-swear-i-saw-a-snake-just-now face.

Barbeque time... see there's at least 4 types of fish and I bet all of them are edible!

We were there till 1pm.. it was cloudy the whole morning, so i dont get any tan ;)

Time to leave the island... hmmm whats the cemetery for? this island have 0 inhabitants.

Okay seriously.. whose sick idea it is to name it Tanjung Baru Berak? (translate - Cape of Just Defecate). Whats transpire them to put that name?
British imperialist: What is this place name.
Local : *dont speak any englis, thought the english asked him what he was doing* Baru Berak, Tuan!
British imperialist: Hmm good now.. wirte it down coolie! *instructing the Chinese coolie to write the name down*
The chinese coolie later on committed suicide, thus Tanjung China Terjun (Cape of Leaping Chinese) was named after him.

Urghh another singaporean.. People unclear about the concept of swimming pool floats.

After lunch and mandatory nap time, there's another round of snorkelling. I went in for like 10 minutes. Saw baby sharks and pomfrets..

Then I joined in the games...
Then we had dinner..
And I walked around the beach at night..

COuld I entice you for some rejects bikinis anyone? Rejects okay not second hand.. so its brand new.

The next day the weather was better...

Blue sky blue sea

So, eventually I continued doing what I do best... nothing! ahh a bliss! Just dont drop on me okay Mr CoConuts

At noon we headed back to the mainland. Sayonara Redang. Next time I'll come by plane.. at least to Kuala Terengganu. The 10hrs bus ride was hellish...

The boat ride... Another people with no civic manners. Like my high school friends always said - tiada kesedaran serviks (hihihihi - civic lah, not servics)
Arrived at Katy (nama manja Kuala Ganu) we had like 2 hrs for Pasar Payang's excursion. I only spent like 30 minutes there.. People were like staring at me weirdly... I love Katy though... nice

What does they mean by this???
