Nepal (नेपाल): Pheri Bhetaunla
So yeah, the last night we went to the "mandatory" farewell dinner. Well, I dont have to pay anything. But not looking forward to it. But alas, not wanted to be a party pooper, and wanted to see them for the last time, I decided to go.
Katanya not looking forward, walhal sibuk2 cari baju untuk dinner ni apa ke he? hihihihihi.

While having our dinner, we were presented with local performances.
I didnt eat much, and so did some of us. So we decided after the dinner to stop by local bakery somewhere along the road back to the hotel.
And because it was after 9, everything is 50% off... crazyyyyy
There goes my diet and all the 5kg lost went down the drain.
Bling bling on sale....
When we got back, I was very tempted to get the Everest tour flight (will leave at 5am and back at 9).. but I'm scared I wont have the time to catch the flight back home.
Anyway the next morning i still got like 3 hrs to kill. My flight is at 12noon and the van will pick us up at 9. Supposedly it should take us 20 min to reach the airport, but the traffic is crazy..

Roti canai vendor..
I bought another shirt (tailor made). Not without drama. I made the order in the morning (a day before) and the tailor said it would be ready in the late afternoon (4pm). So after we got back from the temple trip I went back to the store.. and he had forgotten! Omigod! He said he'd embroidered it there and then... pffft, I guess the quality would be lousy then.. wanted to cancel but he insisted.
So what the heck...its only 800 rupees (30 ringgit). So i went shopping and when I was back around 7.40 he finally managed to finish it. Phew... and ooh I got 50ruperr discount because he found out I was a muslim (he is too). niceee..
then he asked "can you read quran?"
what an insult.. "of course I can"
"can you speak arabic.."
oh sial lah.. hihihi "Yes!" bohong sunat..
"Assalammualaikum.. khaifa ha luk?"
I replied with confident "ana bil khair..." dalam hati jangan la dia tanya banyak2 lagi.. harus pecah tembelang... Nasib baik that was it.. he used to work in Dubai for 4 years before.. then came back and opened a tailor shop (in front of the hotel)...

Airport with Everest view in the background..
Arrived at the airport ard 10 (the van was late).. but the queue for immigration was LONG... very very long.. gosh I was worried I didnt make it. There's this Chinese auntie from China trying to cut queue.. Luckily the Malaysian guy in front of me barked at her in Mandarin. She pretended that she already in the line but forgot her bag at the fill out counter. What a BS! There's a lot of malaysian around.. about 1/4 of the people queuing there.
Finally she was removed from the line and cursing the Malaysian guy saying that he was heartless. What a drama. While reenact the scene in english, the Malaysian guy was like, China people are so uncivilized, unlike Malaysian... Nak ketawa aku..
but kinda proud to be Malaysian though.. we coudl travel easily to any countries without visa and most of the middle east countries have high respects towards us. Hope it will continue for years to come.. though I could see its deteriorating.
Finally by 12.30 we could boarded the plane.

Hello apek baju coklat, tak payah lari2 tolak semua orang yek.. ni bukan Air Asia.. Kehji! Semua berebut2 nak naik ni! Seat ada nombor kot!
Malaysia Hospitality. It was delayed and we were waiting at the tarmac for more than 30 min. Apparently there's another 5 people missing.. Ngeeeeeee... Sentap.
Finally those 5 missing passengers turned up, welcomed with thunderous applause from other passengers.

Airborne. Good bye Kathmandu. Pheri Bhetaunla Himalaya - means till me meet again.
Good bye himalaya
Good bye hills
and rivers
And good bye Everest! Hope to see you again soon.
Meal on board
I wasnt that hungry.. though everything is superb (except those nasty ghulab jamun - urghhh cloves and cinnamon overloaded), I couldn't finish them..
Welcome KL or in this case, Putrajaya.. am back!
Huh? papan buruk pun ada yg nak bawa balik? As usual my backpack would be the last to arrive. Mcm jinx, aku akan duduk kat conveyor belt to berjam2 tunggu luggage. Lekat la priority ke, apa ka, still last! For all airlines! Only applicable when I'm back home.. So I dont really mind. Not in a hurry.
NEPAL - FINISH - PHEW....

Nepal (नेपाल): Kathmandu Revisited
Ahhh, back to normality, crazy traffic, polluted air and men holding hands.
The next day we have this tour to 2 temples and a Durbar square in Bhaktapur abt 20km away from Kathmandu.

First stop was the Durbar Square...
Study in Malaysia anyone?
Pork and dog..
Granma knitting sweater... or smoking opium.. couldn't tell :p
The whole square is quite huge. It's a walled complex with tiny roads, therefore there's not cars and little motorcycle around,
Boneka
You could easily get lost here... the alleys are identical.
Road making...
City center
Pot making. Thank god we were not forced to buy anything. I hate tour but this time its more of free and easy. He said to meet us at this place at certain time, and youre free to explore the whole complex
Menampi padi
While walkign at this particular building. I overhead the couple in front of me mentioned the word erotic.. They confused the word erotic with exotic..
So I nonchalantly look up. it is indeed exotic.. stupid German couldn't understand English..
But then....
But then....
Eh.... hmmm
Okay.. now I'm the stupid one.. it is erotic indeed.
Then we moved on to the Buddhist temple for lunch and tour and shop.

At first we were supposed to eat at the designated place, but it was overbooked, so 7 of us decided to go somewhere else (out of 20).. So we left. To be frank, even if we stayed I dont think I'll be eating. There's wild boar being roasted at the kitchen...
So the Malaysian couple and I headed towards a small cafe. Very quiet cafe compared to others. we believe this cafe has no connection with other tour guides. Good for us..
It was a great choice btw.. the food were delicious! Though they took their own sweet time to prepare :p

We were given 1 hr to lunch and then we need ot be at the art school for some craft lesson.. read: tourist trap.
So we made another detour and have our own tour
And had desserts and coffee here... yummeh.
Ariya cafe it is.. It served Illy coffee.
Afterward ard 3-m we made a move to the final temple. A Hindu one.

Bhaktapur city center. Less car than Kathmandu but not less chaotic. and ooh, KK mart!
and oohhh Kelisa!
When I arrived I smelled something familiar...
Ciss Sentul in Nepal.. With a little twist.
Naked fakir everywhere... Like naked to the bone. Sausage fest everywhere you look. What I didn't get was why need to wear two watches?
Oh well, apart from that the temple is pretty neat.... Then we go back and get ready for the dinner at 8pm. So I had 2 hrs to find a dress for the occasion.
